I have been a a Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Trainer and Consultant for nearly 30 years

I am a member of The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy
I am a member of The Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists and Allied Professionals
I am a member of The International Association for Forensic Psychotherapy
I am a member of The International Society for the Psychoanalytic Study of Organisations
I participate widely in public life through, for example, my former role as Chair of a national Mental Health Charity, WISH, Women In Secure Hospitals. I am a clinical member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy Ethics Committee and I represent the Ethics Committee on The UKCP Professional Conduct Committee and I have been an academic, until a few years ago Course Leader for the MA in Psychotherapy at Regents School of Psychotherapy and Psychology Regents Park, London.
I regularly present papers and publish on matters of clinical interest at professional conferences. For example, on the difference between male and female patterns of violence, on murder and another on Countertransference, and on Sexaulty and Narrative as a Social Construction. Most recently I have presented on the role of technology in every day life and how technological changes effect social and emotional problems, and Learning from Baby P with Sharon Shoesmith former Director of Children's Services.
